UCLA Health Volunteer Supervisor in Santa Monica, California

Description

Join us as a Care Extender Supervisor in Santa Monica - UCLA and become a vital part of our team! Under the guidance of our Program Manager, you'll lead and support approximately 850 volunteers, driving the success of our program forward. Your role involves developing, implementing, and managing the program, fostering its growth and increasing awareness within our community.

Collaborating closely with the Manager of the Care Extender Program, you'll identify key areas for program enhancement and establish a robust recruitment and training framework to meet the needs of our health system. As a champion of our volunteers, you'll strategically place them in leadership roles, oversee multiple projects, and celebrate their contributions to our mission.

Your role extends to community outreach, where you'll engage with potential volunteers, conduct orientations, and provide ongoing training. Evenings and weekends may be part of your schedule, as you go above and beyond to support our volunteers and promote our program.

Salary Range: $55,300-$111,500/year

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with good communication both written and oral, able to interact in diplomatic and professional demeanor.

  • Administrative skills with full competency in Microsoft Office

  • Ability to learn quickly and work with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to prioritize and have good time management skills.

  • Strong public speaking, presentation and event planning skills.

  • Demonstrated skills in problem-solving to include gathering and analyzing information to determine the best solutions to problems involving evaluations and project management.

  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of communications, correspondence, reports, and etc.

  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and handle high stress situations.

  • Proven success motivating, leading, training and supervising large groups of employees or volunteers.

  • Prior experience in overseeing volunteers/employees and able to track and keep personnel files up-to-date.

  • Prior experience working in a hospital is a plus.
