UCLA Health Fund Manager in Los Angeles, California
Description
Serve as Fund Manager for the Clinical Trials Unit in the Division
of Hematology-Oncology and manage pre- and post-award for clinical trials. In this
role you will reconcile monthly ledgers; compile fiscal information to be used
to prepare annual budgets, financial reports, and projections utilizing
information from University ledgers, Query Database (QDB/FPM), Financial
Projection Module and the University online financial reports. Provide guidance
to the Principal Investigators for funded projects to assure proper
expenditure. Prepare and/or approve purchasing documents, expenditure invoices
and other charges. Resolve any accounting problem or irregularities on a timely
basis. Review patient billing for clinical trials to ensure accuracy and
appropriateness of charges. Assist in the preparation of pre-award budgeting
including salary, equipment, supplies and other expenses used in the proposed
clinical research.
Hourly Salary Range: $28.20 - $60.57
Qualifications
Required:
Skills in perceiving and defining cause and effect relationships between expenditure rates and budgetary projections.
Skill in performing various bookkeeping transactions such as debiting, crediting, reconciling expenses, preparing transfer of payroll and non-payroll expenses.
Mathematical skills for the preparation of complex calculations and forecasts and to identify and resolve complex financial problems.
Skill in prioritizing assignments to complete work in a timely and accurate manner.
Ability to analyze problems, assess needs and provide alternatives.
Skill in writing concise, logical and grammatically correct correspondence.
Effective oral and written communication skills necessary to make inquiries and convey information.
