UCLA Health Program Specialist - OBGYN in Los Angeles, California

Description

Seeking an experienced individual to provide programmatic support for all Department of OBGYN accredited and non-accredited educational training programs. The Program Specialists serve various roles in the Medical Education office, providing services to 6 training programs and over 55 trainees (MD interns, residents and fellows), spanning training sites at UCLA and all major affiliates (SM-UCLA, , Olive-View-UCLA,, Kaiser, Center for Fetal Medicine, Southern California Reproductive Center, Planned Parenthood ). In this role you will partner with faculty in the operational and financial management of the program(s) and/or initiative(s) to ensure an optimal training environment for learners. Responsible for a wide range of programmatic and operational activities including but not limited to: designing, conducting, promoting, evaluating and supporting an education program(s) in compliance with organizational objectives and requirements. You'll also support learners, program coordinators, program directors and program leadership in areas such as teaching and learning activities, rotation, clinic, and call scheduling, core competencies, assessment and evaluations. Coordinates all activities associated with ongoing administration of the education program(s) and/or initiative(s).

Pay Range:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in related and/or equivalent experience/training

  • 1+ years experience coordinating an educational program(s) in an academic medical center or other relevant experience

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of ACGME accreditation process and institutional requirements

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of graduate medical education programs

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs and web based applications

  • Presents and expresses ideas and information clearly and concisely in a manner appropriate to the audience, whether oral or written.  Actively listens to what others are saying to achieve understanding.  Shares information with others and facilitates the open exchange of ideas and information.

  • Manages confidential information discreetly and responsibly

  • Comprehensive understanding of UCLA policy and procedures
